The Liberation Group is giving Channel Island football fans the chance to share in the build-up to this summer’s World Cup Finals with an England roadshow, which is on a whistle-stop tour of the UK.
The Carlsberg For England interactive tour bus will arrive in the Channel Islands next week. On Tuesday, March 9th the bus will be parked at White Rock near the Liberation Monument, St. Peter Port, Guernsey from 10am to 2pm. It will travel onto Jersey where it will be parked on the Weighbridge, opposite The Royal Yacht Hotel, from noon to 3.30pm on Wednesday, March 10th.
The promotional tour bus will give fans the chance to show their support for the Three Lions and play the role of England Football Manager by recording their own team talk.
Local supporters who record the best pep-talk to the England squad will be entered into an online competition that could see them winning the chance of a lifetime opportunity to meet the players and deliver their words of inspiration in person at an exclusive day at Wembley Stadium.
As well as recording rousing video messages visitors will also be able to take part in a host of football games and activities.
Chief Executive Officer of the Liberation Group Mark Crowther says: “Major tournaments like the World Cup are all about bringing people together to share in the highs and lows of sporting success. Channel islanders usually have to watch events like this from afar but these special visits will allow fans to get behind the England team from the start and set the tone for what is sure to be a nail-biting summer of world-class football”.
The roadshow is free to enter and it is hoped the events will be well supported. The Channel Islands is one of the first ports of call for the bus which will tour supermarkets, football grounds and pubs throughout the British Isles until May.
Those who are unable to visit the roadshow can still get behind the England team and enter the competition by recording their team talk and upload it at www.englandteamtalk.com
